Golden Jubilee Celebration
The
Golden Jubilee celebration of Ruparel
College
was inaugurated at the hands
of the Governor of Maharashtra, His Excellency Dr.
P.C. Alexander on 2nd February, 2002. During the year, a number of Cultural and Academic
programmes were organised.
A Mega Fund Raising Cultural Festival has been organised by the past students of the College on 17th,
18th & 19th December, 2002 evenings on the College
grounds:-
1. 17th,
December 2002 : Sangeet
Jalsa
- Ustad
Zakir
Hussain
and his brother
Shri Toufeeq Qureshi.
2. 18th,
December 2002 : Variety entertainment programme
'Indradhanu' presented by the past students who have
earned fame in Music,
Theatre, T.V., Films such as
Padmaja Fenani,
Shreedhar Phadke, Kaushal
Inamdar,
Ashok Hande,
Avinash Hande, Ajit
Parab, Kamlesh Bhadamkar, Nandu Parchure, Atul
Parchure, Shilpa Pai, Sanjay Mone, Sukanya Kulkarni, Sumeet
Raghavan, Dhananjay Gore, Vijay Kadam,
Suchit Patil, Jitendra

Hande
and Ajit
Bhure
and music is conducted by Mahesh
Khanolkar.
3. 19th,
December 2002 : ‘Aawaj ki duniya’ written and directed by Ashok
Hande.
The present and past students
have expressed a profound desire to raise a handsome fund for the College.
Donation cards are available in the College.
The Principal has appealed to all present and past students to
participate whole heartedly in the Fund Raising Programme.
