H.S.C. RESULTS:
Our
H.S.C, results this year were excellent as usual: Our student
Mr. VIVEK VEDAGIRI from 12th Science secured the
Second position in the H.S.C. Board Merit List. SEEMA
GODBOLE was third in Arts Faculty. In all 40 studentswere
in Merit List.
Our
student SHRUTI MUTALIK scored highest marks in Sanskrit
and APARNA RAIE topped in Biology, Ms. ZAHARA
FEDERAL stood First among the handicapped students in
Science Faculty while DATATRAYA WALEKAR was First
among the Backward Class candidates.
In
October, 1998, Examination, our student MAYURI SAMANT
was First in the Arts Faculty securing highest marks in
Philosophy, Psychology, Economics, German & Logic.
Our
record is equally impressive in the University Examinations.
CO-CURRICULAR
ACIIVITIES:
The performance of our students is equally noteworthy in
Co-curricular activities & Extra Curricular activities.
N.C.C. & N.S.S.:
Under N.C.C. & N.S.S., our students are engaged in a
number of socially useful projects and activities.
Our
students. Mr KRANTI SHERKHANE got selected for the
Republic Day parade of 26th January, 1999.
N.
S. S. Volunteers have participated in Tree Plantation, Blood
Donation and Aids Awareness Campaign.
Our
Junior College teacher, Dr. A. M. KELKAR with the
help of his colleagues had arranged an Aids Awareness Programme
for the Junior College students.
SPORTS
:
Our Junior College Kho-Kho team has won the championship
for the seventeenth year in succession for Mumbai & State
Level and THREE students have been selected at the National
Level. Our Senior College Kho-Kho team won the Inter-Collegiate
Tournament for fifth year in succession for district &
State Level.
Our Junior College KABADDI team has won the District as
well as the State Championship. Our Degree College Kabaddi
Team has won Mumbai Division as well as State Level Championships.
Performance of our Cricket Team both Degree and Junior College
should be written in the letters of GOLD. We have won the
C. K. Naidu Trophy for Mumbai Division as well as at the
State Level second year in succession. Our Cricketiars are
selected for the Cooch Bihar Karandak as well as the Vijay
Merchant Trophy.
Our
Senior Cricket Team won the Inter Collegeiate Trophy for
the second running year. Seven of our Cricketers were selected
for University Team and Three of them were selected for
Mumbai Ranji Trophy.
Our
student, OMKAR KHANVILKAR was appointed the Captain
for Mumbai and West Zone under Sixteen.
Besides,
our students have won the GOLD & SILVER Medals
in Inter-Collegiate Swimming, Malkham & Boxing and are
selected for the National Level Competition.
In
Mumbai University Inter-Collegiate -Cultural Events, our
students won the Prizes in Music, One-Act-Play, and other
events to be in the First position at the youth Festival.
One
Act Play "SWAPNAWANT" bagged FIRST Prize in
Competition organised by MRUGJAL and Three Prizes
in I.N.T. Competition.
Now
a days, it is observed that some students tend to commit
suicide due to various types of strain under which they
work. We propose to establish a Counselling Centre in our
College to prevent such tendencies among the students of
our college.
From
this brief report, it is clean that the basic aim of our
education is to develop an all round personality of the
students. Besides, class room teacher, we provide various
type of opportunities to our students through extra curricular
and Sports activities, so that they can take their rightful
position in the Society later.
