IMPORTANT
INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS
Students are informed that Revised Curriculum has been implemented
for all the subjects with effect from the academic year 2006
2007. The details of the syllabus, scheme of examination, important
information/instructions etc will be informed by the Teachers in
the classroom or will be displayed on the Notice Board. Students
should regularly attend lectures and refer Notice Boards. The College
will not be responsible if a student is unaware of any important
information/instruction given in the classroom or displayed on the
Notice Board. The salient features of the Examination Scheme for
Languages and Environment Education is given below:
Examination Scheme for Environment Education:
(For F.Y./S.Y.J.C. Arts, Science & Commerce)
This subject is compulsory for all the students and is prescribed
for 100 marks consisting of written examination of 60 marks and
Project Work of 40 marks. The College will conduct written examinations
and assess the Project work. Students will have to appear for the
following four written examinations conducted by the College:
- First
Unit Test of 30 marks of one hour duration in the month of August
- Terminal
Examination of 60 marks of 2 hours 30 minutes at the end of the
First Term.
- Second
Unit Test of 30 marks of one hour duration in the month of December
- Annual
examination of 60 marks of 2 hours 30 minutes in the month of
January
Thus,
the students will be examined for maximum marks of 180. The average
maximum marks will be calculated by dividing the maximum marks of
the four examinations (180) by 3. Thus, Average maximum marks =
180/3 = 60 marks. The marks secured by students in all the
four examinations will be divided by 3 to arrive at average marks
secured out of 60.
Students
will be required to submit the Project Work as per the schedule
informed in the classroom or displayed on the Notice Board.
If
a student fails to appear for the above four examinations or fails
to submit the Project Work, he/she will be declared FAIL
in the subject and consequently in the H.S.C. Board Examination.
To
pass in this subject, it is mandatory for a student to secure a
minimum of 21 marks out of 60 marks in the written examination and
a minimum of 14 marks out of 40 marks in the Project Work i.e. a
minimum of 21 + 14 = 35 marks. If a student fails to get a minimum
of 35 marks, he/she will be declared FAIL in
the subject and consequently in the H.S.C. Board Examination. As
per H.S.C. Board Rules grace marks cannot be given in this
subject. Students should note that, even if they score more than
35% marks in the written examination but fail in Project Work or
vice versa, they will be declared Fail in the
subject and consequently in the H.S.C. Board Examination.
The
total of the average marks secured by students in the four written
examinations (out of 60) and the Project Work (out of 40) will be
converted into Grade as shown below and will be submitted to the
H.S.C. Board which will be reflected on their Mark sheets.
Grade
A : 60% and above, Grade B : 45% to 59%,
Grade C : 35% to 44%, Grade D : 34% and below.
It
will be the responsibility of the student to appear for all the
four written examinations and submit the Project Work as per the
schedule informed in the classroom or on the Notice Board. Under
no circumstances the College will be responsible if a student fails
to appear for the above four examinations or fails to submit the
Project Work.
Every
language (English/Marathi/Hindi/German/French/Japanese) is prescribed
for 100 marks consisting of written examination of 80 marks of 3
hours duration and an Oral examination of 20 marks. Written examination
will be conducted by the H.S.C. Board and the Oral examination will
be conducted by the College and the marks will be submitted to the
H.S.C. Board.
In
the Oral examination, students will be examined in their skills
in Listening (6 marks), Reading (4 marks), Speaking (5 marks) and
Conversation (5 marks). It will be held before the commencement
of the Annual H.S.C. Board Examination as per the schedule received
from the Board. It will be mandatory for every student to appear
for the Oral examination as per the
schedule displayed on the Notice Board.
If
a student fails to do so, he will be reported Absent

if a student fails to appear for the Oral Examination.
