STUDENT's COUNCIL (Degree College)

  1. There shall a Students’ Council as specified in The Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994 Section 40 2(b) for each conducted College or Institution of the University and each affiliated College, to look after the welfare of the students and to promote and co-ordinate the extra-curricular activities of different student’s associations for better corporate life. The Council shall not engage in political activities.

    The Students’ Council for each Institution, conducted College
    and affiliated College shall consist of the following :—
    1. The Principal—Chairman,
    2. One lecturer, nominated by the Principal,
    3. Teacher in charge of The National Cadet Corps,
    4. The National Service Scheme Programme Officer,
    5. One student from each class, who has shown academic merit at the examination held in the preceding year and who is engaged in full-time studies in the College, nominated by the Principal,
    6. Director of Sports and Physical Education, if any,
    7. One student from each of the following activities, who has shown outstanding performance, nominated by the Principal, namely :-
      1. Sports,
      2. National Service Scheme and Adult Education,
      3. National Cadet Corps,
      4. Cultural Activities.
    8. Two lady students nominated by the Principal;

  2. The student members of the this Council shall elect from
    amongst themselves the Secretary of the Council.

HOSTEL

The College has a Hostel for 80 male students within the College Campus. Hostel fees including services and other charges are to be paid in advance.

The students will maintain peace and decorum of the Hostel. Any student involved in the ragging in Hostel will draw severe punishment. Round the clock Security is provided in the Hostel building. The necessary housekeeping services are provided to maintain the entire hostel clean. The College authority will not be responsible for the loss of any personal valuables. The students will not be allowed to stay away from the hostel beyond 10.00 p.m. For detailed Rules and Regulations refer to the Hostel Notice Board.

THE COLLEGE GYMKHANA

General

The College has a well-equipped Gymkhana, which provides the necessary space and equipment for both indoor and outdoor sports with the ground being modified for specific sports. Being a reputed institution, coaches of repute are associated with our College. The College has a tie-up with external agencies to enable students to avail of their facilities in sports like cricket, swimming, lawn tennis and badminton. An in-house Shooting Range has been installed in the College for indoor rifle shooting. Having sufficient space for both indoor and outdoor games, the College Gymkhana provides above average facilities for most of the games. For indoor games we have a hall of 61.50’ x 25.25’ for table tennis, a hall of 36’ x 10’ for carrom and a hall of 24’ x 13’ for chess. The open ground is used for kho-kho, kabaddi, volleyball, basketball, football, hockey, etc. Our College staff also provides its expertise to the University sports body. The activities of the Gymkhana are governed by the Principal with the assistance of the Gymkhana Chairman, Teaching, Non- Teaching Staff and student representatives.

Rules Regulations Railway Concession

  1. i) Students will be issued railway concession forms for Season
    tickets from the station nearest to their residence and
    Matunga Road (W. R) Station. Residential address given on
    the admission form will be taken as valid for this concession.
    It cannot be changed during the course of the year.
  2. Long journey Railway concession will be issued to students
    to visit their homes.
