SCHEDULE OF ADMISSIONS

TO FIRST YEAR B.A./B.Com./B.Sc./B.Sc.(IT) CLASSES
FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2006 - 2007.

Admissions to F.Y.B.A./B.Com./B.Sc./B.Sc.(IT) will be made as per University of Mumbai Circular No. Aff./Recog.l/156 Of 2006 dated 30th May 2006.

  1. Students who have passed their H.S.C. Examination from this College will be first admitted. Vacant seats (if any) will be filled by admitting students from other Colleges strictly on merit basis.
  2. Students who wish to seek admission to F.Y.B.A./B.Com. Classes should note that very few seats will be available after the admissions of in-house (Ruparel College) students.
  3. Admissions to F.Y.B.Sc.(IT) class will made on the basis of marks scored in the subject of Mathematics at the H.S.C. Examination.
  4. Admission Forms and Prospectus will be available on payment of Rs 50/- only on 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th June 2006 from 10.30 a.m. to 01.30 p.m. and 02.00 p.m. to 04.00 p.m. at Students' Council Room in the foyer of Arts building.
  5. Venue for submission of duly filled in Admission Forms and payment of Fees is as follows:
    • F.Y.B.Sc. / F.Y.B.Sc.(IT). : Room No. 6Arts (Ground floor, Arts building)
    • F.Y.B.A. / F.Y.B.Com. : Room No. 7Arts (Ground floor, Arts building)
  6. The admission schedule is as follows:

    2 Display of First Merit List. 14th June 2006 at 05.00 p.m.
    3 Payment of Fees against First Merit List. 15th and 16th June 2006.
    4 Display of Second Merit List.(if required) 17th June 2006 at 05.00 p.m.
    5 Payment of Fees against Second Merit List. 19th and 20th June 2006.
    6 Display of Third Merit List.(if required) 21st June 2006 at 05.00 p.m.
    7 Payment of Fees against Third Merit List. 22nd June 2006.
    8 Display of Final Merit List.(if required) 23rd June 2006 at 05.00 p.m.
    9 Payment of Fees against Final Merit List. 24th June 2006.

  7. Students should submit duly filled in Admission Form along with the photo (Xerox) copies of the following documents:
    1. H.S.C. Examination Marks Statement,
    2. Leaving Certificate of the last College attended,
    3. Provisional Eligibility Certificate from University of Mumbai for students who pass H.S.C. examination from a Board other than HSC Board, Maharashtra State.
    4. Caste Certificate from competent authority in case of students belonging to Reserve category.
    5. Special Category/Sports/Cultural Activities/Physically Challenged Certificate (if admission is claimed under any one of these categories.)
      The following are treated as Special Category cases as per Government directives:
      1. Divorcee/Widow girl candidate.
      2. Wards of
        1. recently transferred employees of Central/State Government,
        2. In-Service/Retired Armed personnel.
      3. Wards and grandchildren of Freedom Fighters.
  8. Submission of Admission Form does not entitle a candidate to admission.
  9. Admission forms, either incomplete or without photocopies of Documents mentioned above shall be rejected.
  10. The timings for submission of Admission Forms and payment of Fees will be from 10.30 a.m. to 01.30 p.m.
  11. List of students selected for admission will be displayed on the Notice Board in the foyer of Arts building.
  12. If a student fails to confirm admission by payment of fees on the scheduled dates, he would forfeit his claim for admission and the vacant seats will be offered to other students.
  13. Fees to be paid at the time of admission:

  14. Fees will be accepted in Cash, Cheque or Demand Draft. (Cheques/Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of Principal, D. G. Ruparel College.)
  15. Fees should be paid at the Admission Counters only and not to any unauthorized persons.
  16. Important instructions for Reserve Category students:
    • OBC/NT-2/NT-3 students who do not submit Creamy Layer certificate at the time of admission will be required to pay full fees.
    • If the Fees of Reserve Category students are not received from the Social Welfare Department, Government of Maharashtra, they will be required to pay the balance fees in the month of November 2006.
  17. In addition to the above mentioned Fees,
    • F.Y.B.Sc. Computer Science (Unaided course) students will be required to pay Rs 8,000/-for the subject,
    • F.Y.B.A. students who opt for Statistics as one of the subjects will be required to pay Rs 400/- as Laboratory fees.
  18. At the time of Admission and payment of fees, selected students should submit duly filled in Admission Form along with
    • Original H.S.C. Examination Mark statement along with its two Photo (Xerox) copies,
    • Duly filled in Identity Card and Photo Slips with recent Passport size photographs affixed on them,
    • Photo (Xerox) copy of Caste Certificate from competent authority in case of students belonging to Reserve category,
    • Original Provisional Eligibility Certificate from University of Mumbai (for students who pass H.S.C. examination from a Board other than HSC Board, Maharashtra State).
    • Additional Passport size photograph for Temporary Identity Card.

Students are advised to keep adequate attested photo (Xerox) copies of Original H.S.C. Mark statement before its submission.

  1. At the time of Admission, students should produce Originals of S.S.C. Examination Mark statement and Caste Certificate (if applicable) for verification.

Students are advised to refer the Notice Boards for other instructions.

Principal
