Add-Ons

A wide variety of add-ons are available with any account at Elegance Electronics . These add-ons include Virtual and Vanity Domains.

Account Add-Ons

Elegance Electronics offers a wide variety of "enhancement options" that can be used in conjunction with any of the standard accounts. Any combination of these add-ons can be specified when you sign up, or requested as an upgrade at any time in the future.

Virtual Domain

Rs.2500 setup, Rs.100/month

With any of these account, we can provide a Virtual Domain for your Web site. This provides access to your site through a unique domain name. We provide only true Virtual Domain service; not any of the rip-off varieties some of our competitors are offering (you can spot these by looking for URLs such as http://www.domain.com/domain/ or http://www.domain.com:8001/).

The Virtual Domain option also includes these free capabilities:

We will register the domain with InterNIC for you automatically. We do not register domains directly with other NICs;
All mail addressed to your domain, regardless of the username, will come to your account's mailbox. This means that you can use webmaster@domain.com, info@domain.com, sales@domain.com, and whatever else you like, without having to worry about extra charges or conflicts with other accounts on the system. If you want separate POP mailboxes for such addresses to be delivered to (for separate retrieval with a unique password), the charge is Rs.100/month for each mailbox.
Mailing lists may be run (using SmartList) with your domain name as their delivery address. For example, you can manage a mailing list named announce-list@domain.com.
Virtual FTP, which allows access to your files at ftp://ftp.domain.com/, will be enabled at your request, at no extra charge.

Note that for new domains under the authority of InterNIC (.com and .org are the most commonly used), you will be billed separately for $100 maintenance by InterNIC. They levy this charge to cover the first two years of root nameservice and administration of your domain at their level. The Rs.2500 charge is payable to us for maintaining your account and allocating an IP address. The monthly charge is added on to your regular account fee. Please do not send us the InterNIC fee - we will send it back to you if you do. It is in your best interest to let InterNIC bill you at their leisure.

Note: InterNIC will bill you $50/year after the first two years.

Vanity Domain

Rs.2500 setup, Rs.100/month

This is a variation on Virtual Domain, in which a subdomain of elecom.com is used instead of a top-level domain registered with InterNIC. This dodges the InterNIC fee, but yields a URL which includes our name: http://www.yourname.elecom.com/ and/or http://yourname.elecom.com/. The free capabilities described for Virtual Domains also apply here.

You may also obtain Vanity Domains underneath your own Virtual Domain, at the same price.

Additional Disk Quota

Rs.100/Mb/month

If your site will need more disk space than the defaults allowed with our accounts, you can avoid fees for overusage by prepaying at a lower rate. The lower rate is Rs.100/Mb. Please specify the disk space you require when using the online signup system, and we will adjust your account and rates accordingly.

Remember, these add-ons must be used in conjunction with one of our standard accounts.
